It took me a long time to decide to color my hair again. When I did, I knew that I needed to make sure I was incorporating products into my routine that are going to help keep my hair healthy and moisturized. And of course, Curlsmith came in clutch with their color line.
Vivid Vibrancy Shampoo:
The bottle says that it’s made with lemon, dandelion, and pineapple. Honestly, I smell melons more than I smell anything else, but maybe that’s just me. I’m not in love with the smell, but I can look past that since the product itself works really well.
The shampoo gave my hair a soft, foamy cleanse. When I use other shampoos, they clean my hair but can make my hair feel a little dry in the process. This shampoo…THIS shampoo, didn’t do that at all! My hair actually felt moisturized while being cleansed.
“But Taylor, isn’t that just a co-wash?” NO. When I use a co-wash, yes my hair is cleansed but not to the degree of when I use regular clarifying shampoos. This shampoo was clarifying-squeaky, clean clarifying- and moisturizing. Well done!
Glow Perfecting Conditioner:
Now this product has watermelon seed, strawberry, beetroot, rooibos tea leaves, and raw shea butter. I like this scent more than the shampoo. It’s nice, light, and fresh!
The conditioner is nice and creamy and smooths into the hair almost immediately. It feels just like butter, and I can start finger detangling very easily. My only qualm with this product is the packaging. More specifically the pump… This would’ve been so much easier as a squeeze bottle or a tube, just something else.
Because the pumps Curlsmith uses are thinner, I found it a lot harder to try to pump the product while in the shower, plus the pumps didn’t give a lot of product. Other than that, I really do love this conditioner!
Final thoughts:
Overall, really happy with this line. I’m not crazy about the scent, but it wasn’t terrible. Definitely very light and refreshing. Something that I love about Curlsmith is that their scents aren’t overpowering. But the restorative moisture that this line brings, is amazing! The ingredients in these products provide the hair with nourishment, resulting in juicy and revived curls while also bringing the color back to life!
