OKAY! I know it’s been a MINUTE since my last post, but in that time I’ve done a few things!!!
- I joined the Bookstagram community (you can find me at @taylorlynnwrites). Follow along for reviews and updates on the stories I have in the works!
- I discovered I am a mood reader, meaning that I like to read books based on how I’m feeling or what I’m in the mood for in that moment. So if you read my last post and wondered what happened to my recaps…. my mood changed and went on to read something else entirely. BUT – if you follow me on Insta or on The Story Graph, you can find my reviews for some of the books I read and loved!
- I reached my reading goal for the year and read 50 books! Of course I will be continuing to read and will keep adding to my total reading count until the end of the year.
While a lot of my accomplishments center around reading, I do have a HUGE update in my writing.
(drum roll please)
I finally finished my manuscript for Essence & Runes! [Squeals in excitement] After a year of writing and editing, it is ready for beta readers! I should be getting round one of beta edits over the next week or so (already got one back!). After that I will be revising, then doing another round of betas before revising again and then sending off to an editor. My goal is to start querying in the new year [squeals in even more excitement and nervousness].

BUUTTTT – It is finally spooky season and even though I’m a mood reader, I decided to focus on tackling my ever growing TBR (“to be read” list). So I grabbed a bunch of books on my shelves that seem to fit the spooky season vibes, and will do my very best to read from that pile of books.
Some books in that list include:

My latest post on Instagram (see on the left) has the full pile that I plan to pull from during the month of October! There are a few ARCs that I do not have on there, but hoping to get through most of the books I pulled. I know full well I will likely not read all of the books, and that’s okay! If I can knock a few books off of my list, that’s a win for me!
